Whatever one may say, the economic difficulties we have been experiencing in Europe since 2008 are still far from being resolved.

Just like the Portuguese and Spanish who are leaving the Iberian Peninsula in increasing numbers for the South American continent, we French still have Quebec to try the great adventure.

As French people, we have, indeed, a real card to play to find an interesting job in Quebec. Be careful, because it works both ways. It is very easy to find a job in Canada, it is also very easy to lose it…

Canada is so large that it is the second largest country in the world after Russia. In our imagination, in addition to its gigantic size, it is often synonymous with snow, polar cold and maple syrup.
This country abounds in natural riches and breathtaking landscapes. It is located in the north of the United States. Depending on the region, the climate can be temperate or reach temperatures as low as -45 degrees in winter, with very heavy snowfalls.

The official languages of the country are English and French, the latter having a very pronounced and recognizable accent!
The country is divided into several provinces, each with its own surprises to discover. If you are a wilderness enthusiast, then Manitoba is the perfect place to see polar bears. New Brunswick where you can discover the highest tides in the world. And of course, don’t forget the inevitable Niagara Falls!
Then, Montreal opens its doors to you. Montrealers love to party, at nightfall, the streets fill up and the city comes alive. Rich in crossbreeding due to its eventful history, it offers you a multitude of festivities. Whether it’s to visit museums, attend festivals or shows, everything is done to ensure that the traveller keeps an imperishable memory of his or her stay.

If you’re a gourmet, that’s not the point! Gastronomy holds a very important place, which has earned it an international reputation. Throughout the city you will find many small restaurants ready to introduce you to the culinary specialties of the country!

A biometric passport and a Canadian visa are required, except for French, Swiss and Belgian tourists. If you wish to reside temporarily in the country as a worker or student, you must apply for a Canada visa at the CRDV (visa application reception centre) and provide the necessary biometric data for your passport. For us French people, although it is not an Eldorado either, Quebec is very much like it.

With the introduction of the work visa, the famous WHP, we are increasingly asking our Canadian neighbours to emigrate temporarily or permanently.

Quebec is, in fact, probably the best compromise between an Anglo-Saxon lifestyle and our French culture.
